Library Info:

The Thornton Library is located in historic downtown Oxford, at the corner of Main Street and Spring Street.

This is our main library and features the bulk of our print collection, including a large children's collection and an up-to-date adult reference section.

The newly renovated building contains two meeting rooms that are available for public use. Public access computers are also available for internet research and word processing (see our Services & Policies page).

The North Carolina Room contains our local history and genealogy collection (see our Genealogy page for more information).

Another feature is the Teen Area, a space for young adults to relax, play a board game, and find books that appeal to their age (see our Teen page for more information).

We now offer wireless printing at our Thornton Branch, drivers as well as installation instructions are available at the main circulation desk.
