Library Info:

The Thornton Library is located in historic downtown Oxford, at the corner of Main Street and Spring Street.

This is our main library and features the bulk of our print collection, including a large children's collection and an up-to-date adult reference section.

The building contains a meeting room that is available for public use. Public access computers are also available for internet research and word processing (see our Services & Policies page).

The North Carolina Room contains our local history and genealogy collection (see our Genealogy page for more information).

Our newest feature is the Teen Room, a space for young adults to relax, play a board game, and find books that appeal to their age (see our Teen page

 

Library Hours:

Monday - Thursday 10:00am to 8:00pm.

Friday and Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. (Closed Sundays Memorial Day through Labor Day)
